GPS tracker for boats
Most boats spend most of their time unattended: in a marina, on a mooring, on a trailer behind the house. A GPS tracker with a long battery tells you the moment your boat moves when it shouldn't — and where it is going — without wiring it into the boat's electrics.
- Built-in SIM
- 1 month free
- No long-term contract

What to look for
Months on one charge
A boat may sit for weeks without a visit. The TRM-700C runs up to 180 days and the TRU-620 up to 6 months on one charge with a slow update interval, so the tracker isn't one more battery to worry about.
An alert when it leaves the berth
Draw a zone around your marina or mooring. If the boat crosses it, you get a notification — and with Call Alert, a phone call.
No wiring, no holes
Both trackers are self-powered. Nothing connects to the boat's 12 V system, so there is no drain on the starter battery and no installer needed.
Mobile coverage, not satellite fees
The built-in SIM works on mobile networks across the EU — the same coverage your phone has in port and along the coast. No satellite subscription.

Setup tips
- Mount it inside, in a dry place under glass-fibre or plastic, not under metal or carbon — GPS passes through glass-fibre but not through metal.
- Most hulls are not steel. Use a small steel plate glued to the hull, a bracket or a strap to give the magnet something to hold.
- Set a zone around your berth and a second one around the trailer at home, and enable the movement alert for the winter months.
- Put a second tracker on the trailer or the outboard if they are worth stealing on their own.
Good to know before you buy
- The tracker uses mobile networks. Offshore, out of range of coastal masts, it cannot send a position until the boat is back in coverage.
- IP65 means splash- and rain-protected, not submersible. Keep it out of the bilge and away from standing water.
- This is an anti-theft and peace-of-mind tracker, not safety equipment. It does not replace a VHF radio, an EPIRB or an AIS transponder.
- Operating temperature is −20 °C to +55 °C. A closed cabin in full summer sun can get hotter; pick a shaded spot.
Questions people ask
Does a GPS tracker work on a boat at sea?
Near the coast, usually yes — anywhere your phone has mobile signal. Far offshore there is no mobile network, so the tracker cannot send its position until it is back in range. For theft protection in a marina or on a mooring, coverage is rarely a problem.
Will a magnet hold on a glass-fibre boat?
No. Magnets only hold on steel. On glass-fibre, aluminium or wood, glue or screw a small steel plate in place, or fix the tracker with a bracket or strap.
How long does the battery last on a boat?
Up to 180 days for the TRM-700C and up to 6 months for the TRU-620 with a slow update interval. Most owners charge it at the start of the season and again before winter storage.
Can it tell me if my boat drags its anchor?
Set a small zone around the mooring and you will get an alert when the boat leaves it. It is a useful warning, but it is not certified anchor-watch equipment and should not replace one when you are sleeping on board.
What does it cost per month?
The first month is included with every tracker. After that, plans start at €5.41 per month — no contract, no activation fee, no satellite subscription.
