Magnetic GPS tracker with long battery life
No installer, no cables, no fuse box. A magnetic tracker goes onto any steel surface in seconds and keeps reporting for weeks or months on a single charge. The only real questions are how long you want between charges and whether you need to know when someone pulls it off.
- Built-in SIM
- 1 month free
- No long-term contract
- Support from Greece in 30 languages
What to look for
A magnet strong enough for the road
The TRM-700 and TRU-600 series have a strong magnetic base made for steel parts of a vehicle or container. Put it somewhere flat and clean, and it stays there over bumps and at motorway speed.
Months, not days, between charges
Battery size decides how often you have to go back to it: up to 50 days for the TRM-700, 100 for the TRM-700B, 180 for the TRM-700C, and up to 6 months for the TRU-620 — with a slower update interval.
Know when it is removed
The TRU-600, TRU-610 and TRU-620 send a tamper alert the moment the tracker is taken off its mounting position. A thief who finds it can no longer remove it in silence.
Built for outside the car
The TRM-700 series is IP65: dust-tight and protected against splashing water, and comes with a protective case. Good for trailers, containers, machinery and the inside of a bumper.

What it costs in total
Example with the Trakito TRM-700B: the device, the free first month, then a 12-month plan.
| Trakito TRM-700B · Tracker, one-off | €129.00 |
|---|---|
| First month of tracking | Included |
| 12-month plan (€5.83/month) | €69.90 |
| Total for 13 months of tracking | €198.90 |
That is €15.30 per month, device included.
Prices incl. VAT. Longer plans cost less per month; the free month needs no credit card and does not renew by itself.
Setup tips
- Clean and dry the spot before you place it. Paint, rust and dirt weaken the grip of any magnet.
- Mount it with the top facing the sky and away from thick metal walls, so it gets a GPS fix quickly. Under a plastic bumper or inside a wheel arch liner works better than deep under the chassis.
- Pick the update interval that matches the job: slow while parked for months of battery, faster only when the vehicle is moving or missing.
- Turn on the low-battery alert, and put a recurring reminder in your calendar to charge it before it gets there.
Good to know before you buy
- A magnet needs steel. It will not hold on aluminium, plastic or glass-fibre; there you need a strap, a bracket or double-sided mounting tape.
- Battery figures are maximum standby with a slow update interval. Live tracking every few seconds drains any battery much faster.
- A magnetic tracker is not wired to the ignition, so it cannot block the engine or report ignition on/off. For that, look at the hard-wired TRC-800.
- Thick metal around the tracker (inside a steel box, under a cargo floor) blocks GPS. It can still report a rough position from mobile cells, but less precisely.
Questions people ask
Will a magnetic GPS tracker fall off while driving?
Not when it is placed on a flat, clean steel surface. The magnetic base is made for vehicles. Avoid curved, rusty or painted-over edges, and check it now and then, especially after a car wash or rough roads.
How long does the battery really last?
From up to 50 days (TRM-700) to up to 6 months (TRU-620), measured in standby with a slow update interval. The more often it sends its position, the shorter it lasts. Most people get the best result by tracking slowly while parked and faster only when needed.
Does it need a SIM card or a subscription?
The SIM is already built in, and the first month of tracking is included. After that, plans start at €5.41 per month, with no activation fee and no contract.
TRM-700 or TRU-600 series?
Both are magnetic, long-battery trackers. Choose the TRM-700 series for IP65 protection outdoors, and the TRU-600 series if you want an alert the moment somebody removes the tracker.
Is it legal to put a magnetic tracker on a vehicle?
Yes, on a vehicle or object that you own or are responsible for. Tracking another person's vehicle without their knowledge is illegal in most EU countries.
