Mini GPS tracker: small and discreet
Some things need a tracker that nobody notices: a camera bag, a toolbox, a laptop sleeve, a delivery. The TRP-900 weighs 25 g and is about the size of a matchbox, yet it reports its own position over the mobile network — no phone nearby required.
- Built-in SIM
- 1 month free
- No long-term contract
- Support from Greece in 30 languages
What to look for
Small enough to disappear
The TRP-900 measures 47 × 24 × 18 mm and weighs 25 g. It fits inside a bag lining, a case, a toolbox or between the parts of a piece of equipment.
A built-in magnet
Both mini trackers have a magnet, so they hold on anything made of steel without tape or screws — and come off again just as fast.
An alert you can't miss
With the optional Call Alert, the tracker calls your phone for the alerts you choose: movement, vibration, leaving a zone. A ringing phone at 3 a.m. is harder to sleep through than a push message.
Honest battery expectations
Small means a small battery: 5–10 days for the TRP-900, 15–20 days for the TRP-920. If you need months, a magnetic tracker with a bigger battery is the better choice.
What it costs in total
Example with the Trakito TRP-900: the device, the free first month, then a 12-month plan.
| Trakito TRP-900 · Tracker, one-off | €79.00 |
|---|---|
| First month of tracking | Included |
| 12-month plan (€5.83/month) | €69.90 |
| Total for 13 months of tracking | €148.90 |
That is €11.45 per month, device included.
Prices incl. VAT. Longer plans cost less per month; the free month needs no credit card and does not renew by itself.
Setup tips
- Place it where it can see as much sky as possible: near the top of a bag or under fabric or plastic, never inside a closed metal box.
- Set a zone around home or work and turn on the movement alert, so you hear about it the moment the item leaves.
- Charge it on a fixed day each week. With a battery this small, routine beats remembering.
- Write down the device ID and keep a photo of where you placed it; both help if you ever need to file a police report.
Good to know before you buy
- Tracking a person without their knowledge is a criminal offence in most EU countries. A mini tracker is for your own property — and for people only with their clear consent.
- Indoors, in a basement or inside metal, GPS may not get a fix. The tracker then reports a rougher position from mobile cells, accurate to hundreds of metres rather than a few.
- Small batteries run out fast with frequent updates. Live tracking every few seconds can empty the TRP-900 in a day or two.
- The mini trackers are not waterproof models. For outdoor use, rain or a vehicle exterior, choose an IP65 tracker such as the TRM-700.
Questions people ask
What is the smallest GPS tracker you sell?
The TRP-900: 47 × 24 × 18 mm and 25 g, with a built-in SIM and magnet. It reports its own GPS position over the mobile network, which a Bluetooth tag of similar size cannot do.
How is a mini GPS tracker different from an AirTag?
An AirTag or the TRAKITO Find Tag only reports when someone's phone passes nearby, and has no monthly cost. A mini GPS tracker sends its own live position anywhere with mobile coverage, plus alerts for movement and zones, for a small monthly plan.
How long does the battery last?
5–10 days for the TRP-900 and 15–20 days for the TRP-920, depending on how often it reports. For longer, see the magnetic trackers with up to 6 months.
Does it have a monthly fee?
The first month of tracking is included. After that, plans start at €5.41 per month, with no contract and no activation fee.
Can I use a mini tracker to follow someone?
Not without their consent. Secretly tracking a person is illegal in most EU countries. Use it for your own belongings, or for a family member who knows and agrees — for children and older people the TRP-910 with an SOS button is the better tool.
