GPS tracking for a small fleet

Fleet platforms are built for a hundred vehicles and priced that way — per seat, per year, with a sales call first. If you run three vans, a couple of trucks or a handful of company cars, you want the same live map, route history and theft alerts without any of that. Here is what TRAKITO does for a fleet that size, and what it deliberately does not do.

  • Built-in SIM
  • 1 month free
  • No long-term contract
  • Support from Greece in 30 languages

Why it matters

+6%

light commercial vehicle thefts in the Netherlands in 2025, to 2,055 vans — and a stolen work van usually takes the tools inside it with it.

What to look for

Every vehicle on one account

One TRAKITO login holds all your devices on one map, each with its own name, geo-fences and alerts. Share a single vehicle with its driver or with the office without handing over the whole fleet.

Route history and stops

Replay any day: where a vehicle went, where it stopped and for how long. Thirty days of history settles a “we were there at nine” question in half a minute, without phoning the driver.

Costs you can put in the books

The device is a one-off purchase and the plan is per device, so the cost per vehicle is a fixed line you can quote. Enter your company name and VAT number at checkout and the invoice comes out right.

Stop the vehicle if it is taken

The hardwired TRC-800 monitors the ignition and can cut the engine remotely once the vehicle is standing — the difference between reporting a theft and getting the van back.

What it costs in total

Example with the Trakito TRC-800: the device, the free first month, then a 12-month plan.

Trakito TRC-800 · Tracker, one-off€99.00
First month of trackingIncluded
12-month plan (€5.83/month)€69.90
Total for 13 months of tracking€168.90

That is €12.99 per month, device included.

Prices incl. VAT. Longer plans cost less per month; the free month needs no credit card and does not renew by itself.

Setup tips

  1. Fit one vehicle first and run it for the free month before you buy for the rest of the fleet.
  2. Name each device after the registration plate, not the driver. Vehicles stay; drivers change, and it keeps the setup out of personnel questions.
  3. Draw a geo-fence around the yard and set the alert for out-of-hours only, so a vehicle leaving at 03:00 wakes you and the normal working day does not.
  4. Add the Call Alert add-on for the alarms that matter at night: TRAKITO rings your phone instead of sending a notification you will read in the morning. One call plan covers every device on the account.

Good to know before you buy

  • This is live tracking, route history, geo-fences and alerts — not a full fleet-management suite. There is no fuel-card integration, no tachograph download, no driver scoring and no CO₂ reporting.
  • Each device needs its own plan; there is no volume rate card today. If you are fitting more than ten vehicles, write to us and we will quote you directly.
  • In the EU, tracking vehicles your staff drive is lawful only with a clear purpose, written information to the drivers and, as a rule, no tracking of private time. Put that policy in place before you switch the devices on — a works council or employee representative usually has to be consulted too.
  • The TRC-800's engine block needs an auto electrician to install and is meant for a stationary vehicle. Never cut the engine of a vehicle that is moving.

Questions people ask

How many vehicles can one account hold?

As many as you need — the app is built for several devices on one account, each with its own alerts and geo-fences. Every device needs its own active plan, because each one has its own SIM.

Is there a dashboard for the office, not just a phone?

Yes. The same account opens in a browser at go.trakito.eu, with the whole fleet on one map, route history and the same alert settings as the app.

Can a driver see the other vehicles?

Only if you share them. Sharing is per device, so a driver can be given their own van and nothing else.

Do you invoice a company with VAT?

Yes. There is a company name and VAT number field at checkout, and the order confirmation and invoice carry them. We sell from Greece to all 27 EU countries.

Is it legal to track company vehicles in the EU?

It can be, and it is not automatic. You need a legitimate purpose such as vehicle security or job dispatch, you must tell the drivers in writing what is recorded and why, and you should not track private use. Rules differ by country, so check your national data-protection guidance — we are not able to give you legal advice.

What does a fleet of five vans cost?

Five TRC-800 at €99.00 each as a one-off, then one plan per vehicle from €5.41 per month. The first month of tracking on every device is free, so you can test all five before you commit.
